We did this via a simple, free, Zoom teleconference. No upfront, financial risk whatsoever.

Professional. Matt's communication was both prompt and clear. He provided a convenient way to securely transfer sensitive documents and information. He followed-up with concise, easy-to-understand, written guidance and reached out via text and phone when appropriate. His office was clean and professionally staffed. He and his staff took proper precautions to protect from the spread of COVID-19 during a heightened time of uncertainty.

Tailored-Results. As it relates to financial planning, I am careful and thorough. Some might even call me high-maintenance. Matt was responsive throughout the entire process. As I gained further estate-related knowledge, I asked questions. Matt listened patiently and attentively. He was both receptive to my concerns and added language to alleviate my worry.

Quality. Using commercial software, I have built wills and trusts for myself and my parents. Years later, I hired an attorney to revise my estate. It is abundantly clear that Matt's final product is way better. I now enjoy peace-of-mind, knowing that my loved ones won't face the uncertainty of a shoddily-planned estate.

Enjoyable. While I didn't know of Matt before hiring him, I realized over the course of our work together, that he is a kind, caring person. Matt was very easy to work with. We had some unusual requests and he worked through these with different options and some gentle guidance. He was flexible with scheduling meetings. His replies to email were always very prompt. When we had some differences of opinion, Matt was respectful and gave us privacy. His instructions for setting up trusts were detailed and clear, both for us and our financial advisers (one told us he had never had such clear, detailed instructions from an attorney with respect to setting up a revocable trust). For most of our questions he had immediate answers, for the few others he said he’d research them and he quickly got back to us.

We were referred to Matt McMullin by our financial adviser and he proved to be the consummate professional. My wife and I had wills and advanced medical directives that were outdated and we needed to setup a trust and create new wills and directives.

Matt was very clear and concise in explaining what was entailed in the process during our first meeting. We had to supply quite a few documents to prepare for our next meeting, all of which were quite necessary to the process. Our second meeting lasted over two hours because my wife and I kept asking questions which Matt patiently answered to our complete satisfaction.

By the end of that second meeting we had mapped out our entire financial trust and potential future in the untimely, or ultimate death of one or both of us. My wife and were very grateful for Matt being so organized and prepared for our visit. There was zero wasted time.

The purpose of our third visit was to officially sign and notarize our documents. Matt had them all completely prepared, as well as witnesses, and the meeting lasted about 20 minutes.

We decided in favor of Matt's flat fee as opposed to hiring a lawyer on an hourly basis, because there can be conflict over time actually spent on your project. We thought the fee charged was an excellent value for the work that was done, for the personal service and the amount of attention we received.

My wife and I have a very high opinion of Matt and his work ethic, professionalism, timeliness and customer service, many of which are lacking in so many professionals.

My wife and I highly recommend Matt for trusts, wills and directives. As we need other legal help with other matters, including our small business, we will not hesitate to call on Matt to help us out.
